Stuart has done great work for us from beginning to end and most relevantly his contact info is saved in my phone for any future projects we may have. His communication was flexible and often. He talked me through each of the project steps which a lot of people wouldn't do or would act annoyed (he was not). Stuart was transparent about all costs (material and labor) upfront and when there was a change he told me immediately. When a hinge on the bench randomly broke (most likely my kids slamming it too hard :) he quickly fixed it. Stuart took measurements carefully to fit our breakfast bench into our space perfectly. We eat every meal at this table because it was made right for our family.
Stuart also made an entrance shoe cubby for our big family that fits everyone's shoes/boots/sandals/miscellaneous toys :) He cut it to the exact size to fit flush against our wall right in between the existing wall molding. He built a sandbox and did our entire firepit area. For the firepit, Stuart came up with MANY great ideas including burying the string of lights instead of running it through our trees (which makes it look so much cleaner!), putting a base of material under the rocks to keep weeds from sprouting up as fast, making a half log bench for the kids, sealing the tree trunk seats so they weather much better, strategically placing air vents around the actual fire pit to create better fires, etc. The fire pit wouldn't have been half as nice as it is without his input during the project.
I HIGHLY recommend Stuart for any woodworking or landscaping project that requires attention to detail, thinking outside the box, and custom features. We are super happy with everything he did!
